Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase! We’re all about Hakuna Matata today, too, while we’re celebrating both Earth Day AND the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
There is SO much going on in Animal Kingdom to celebrate both, too. We’ve already met Moana, who started greeting guests in Animal Kingdom this morning. We’ve also started checking out those Earth Day/Anniversary treats, because, well, FOOD. Plus we’ve picked up Disney World’s newest popcorn bucket.
We recently found out that the Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket would be available in Disney World, and OF COURSE, we had to check out our favorite warthog as a Disney popcorn bucket. How could we refuse? Isn’t he ADORABLE?
One thing that we REALLY love about this popcorn bucket, though, is that it comes with a strap celebrating Animal Kingdom. PLUS it says “Hakuna Matata.”
Look at this beautiful sensitive soul (though he seems thick-skinned). This will go so well with our Simba Popcorn Bucket. Now, we just need Disney to release a Timon one!

If you’re wanting to grab one for yourself, it’s available at Trek Snacks, as well as popcorn carts throughout Animal Kingdom. We have a feeling a LOT of these will get sold, though, so be sure to grab it quickly. The popcorn bucket costs $22, but we passed several popcorn carts where it looked like the buckets were already sold out! Now this was no Figment popcorn bucket situation, but these may be scarce in the park if you’re looking today. Keep checking back and we’ll let you know when we see more of them!
We’ll be covering EVERYTHING at Animal Kingdom today, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
