The verdant, wandering DiVine was recently sighted flaunting a new springtime look — decorated from head to toe in blooming flowers. Hues of amber, azure, lavender, crimson, magenta, alabaster and daffodil adorn the stilt-walking spirit that blends with the surrounding environment and welcomes guests for unique photo ops.
A “DiVine” Springtime at Animal Kingdom
DiVine was missing from the park for an extended period during the COVID-19 pandemic, but re-emerged in November 2021. She can usually be found meandering the plants and trees between Africa and Asia (sometimes in the Oasis) between 8:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
It’s extremely easy to walk straight past DiVine without realizing as guests sometimes struggle to find her when she is fully camouflaged with the surrounding flora.
The arboured DiVine clings to bamboo while posing for passersby. Any guest who does take the time to find her usually has an excellent opportunity for a kindhearted character interaction and photographs.

The 25th Anniversary Arrives
It’s an exciting time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as festivities for the upcoming Earth Day and 25th anniversary of the park itself begin. Starting today, rare Disney characters joined the Adventure Flotilla that traverses the waterways surrounding Discovery Island. Koda and Kenai from “Brother Bear” made an appearance, greeting guests as they floated by.
Across from Pizzafari on Discovery Island, Tinker Bell, Fawn, King Louis, and Baloo also began meeting and greeting with guests today.
The Animal Kingdom 25th anniversary collection will be released at Island Mercantile, Discovery Trading Company, and Mombasa Marketplace on Earth Day, April 22. This is the same day the park had its grand opening in 1998. The assortment of products includes a Spirit Jersey, tumbler, pocket tee, and button-up shirts.
Disney PhotoPass will offer both Earth Month and 25th anniversary photo ops around Animal Kingdom starting today. These include special props, Magic Shots, and more. Another highly anticipated photo op — the Moana meet and greet — will begin on April 22.
From April 16 to April 23, Wilderness Explorers have the chance to earn a special badge by completing a limited-time nature challenge. More information is available at any of the Wilderness Explorer locations.
Even the Muppets are jumping in on the festivities, with Kermit and Animal taking their own nighttime excursion to Pandora, Festival of the Lion King, and Expedition Everest:
Be sure to check out some of the special beverages and food items available throughout the park right now. More will be arriving in the coming weeks:
- Special Earth Day treats
- Bee Hive Mousse Dome
- Golden Elephant Cupcake
- Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail Sundae

At this preliminary stage, no attractions have been described or announced, but the concept art certainly teases a few clues.
