A Monorail track support near The Seas With Nemo & Friends in EPCOT has seen significant damage.
Monorail Track Support
Photographer @bioreconstruct shared a photo on Twitter of the cracked support column. A chunk of the concrete was missing from just below the “212” sign and another small piece was hanging off.
When we visited EPCOT the next morning, the biggest missing section had been patched, although there are still several smaller fracture lines running through these two columns.
There have been very few incidents with the Walt Disney World Monorail system over the years and the supports have never collapsed, so it would likely take more than a few cracks to cause a problem.
Still, we’ve been keeping an eye on maintenance issues throughout Walt Disney World these past few months, like the dirty Space Mountain exterior, reports of mold in Toy Story Land, and the broken Keystone Clothiers façade.

In January, the Walt Disney World Monorail system unexpectedly went down, and we spotted a large Stitch plush on the track. Walt Disney World Monorails returned to service after being down for less than a day, but the Monorails continued to move slowly with several stops and starts.
