Now that the 50th anniversary celebrations have ended, Mickey Mouse has changed back into his magician costume for meet and greets in Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom.
Mickey was the first to return to indoor meet and greets in October 2021. Traditional meet and greets with hugging and close contact returned in April 2022.
He wears a special costume as he rehearses for a magician performance, including a yellow cape. During the anniversary, he was dressed in his EARidescent costume. For a brief time, Minnie was meeting guests alongside Mickey in her matching costume. Minnie is no longer appearing at Town Square Theater.
Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater
Town Square Theater is located on Main Street, U.S.A. It is located on the right side of the plaza after entering the park through the train tunnels.
Mickey is available for meet and greets daily, typically between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Town Square Theater uses automated cameras to capture meet and greet photos rather than a PhotoPass Cast Member.
After your photo is taken, you can tap your MagicBand or PhotoPass card at the machine once you’ve found your party’s photo. In the above photo from during the anniversary, you can see our result. The photo is taken at a slight angle at a wide distance to allow for large parties.
