Collectible Disney100 Medallions are popping up all over Walt Disney World today, including this new set at EPCOT, available at both Disney Traders and Port of Entry.
Each of these are unique from each other and distinct from the ones available at Magic Kingdom. The two locations also have their own respective sets — a total of eight individual options. All medallions may be purchased individually for $6, or in sets of four for $20. The machine accepts all major credit cards, along with $1, $5, $10, or $20 bills.
Disney100 Medallions – Disney Traders
At Disney Traders, we caught a glimpse of the new items being installed.
The four medallions here include one of Princess Merida of DunBroch from the Pixar film “Brave.” Below that, we can see Anna, Elsa, and Olaf of “Frozen.” They can be found in EPCOT, on the Frozen Ever After boat ride in World Showcase.
The third medallion option features Remy, followed by the fourth starring Nemo and Dory, all of whom are characters residing in EPCOT. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless dark ride in the France Pavilion of World Showcase, while a large portion of the characters from Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” are included at The Seas with Nemo & Friends in World Nature.
Disney100 Medallions – Port of Entry
Over at Port of Entry, this is the completed set-up, with all medallions prominently displayed.
These are Port of Entry’s options. All medallions feature a Disney logo with the “100 Years of Wonder” slogan. The first on the left showcases Figment, the de facto mascot of EPCOT, and star of the Journey into Imagination With Figment attraction in World Celebration. Indiana Jones appears next, lassoing his iconic whip. Jones appears in the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Dr. Jones is followed by BB-8, the Star Wars droid unique for its ability to roll around on a ball and first introduced in the sequel trilogy’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” It also plays a prominent role throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Rise of the Resistance dark ride. Finally, Rocket and Groot sport their own medallion, serving as members of the Guardians of the Galaxy superhero team and stars on the Cosmic Rewind roller coaster in World Discovery.
All medallions — EPCOT and Magic Kingdom included — include the same art on the opposite side: the 100th anniversary logo, with Mickey and Minnie occupying the zeros, and Tinker Bell sprinkling pixie dust beside an enchanted star.
As mentioned before, the two machines at EPCOT each have their own set of designs — meaning it will cost $40 to collect them all. The five designs at Magic Kingdom, which include Jack Skellington and Mickey & Friends, would cost $26 in total.
