New Look Revealed for My Disney Experience App Following 50th Anniversary Conclusion

The mobile park companion app for Walt Disney World, My Disney Experience, has received a new logo and splash screen. With the resort’s 50th Anniversary Celebration concluding at the end of March, the new branding imagery does not include iconography from “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”

New Logo and Splash Screen for My Disney Experience

Today we found after opening the app that it not only received a brand new icon, but also a fresh splash screen to welcome users.

Previously, the app’s icon was a dark blue, featuring the pale stars, the golden “50” and Mickey Mouse head prominently featured for Walt Disney World’s anniversary party.

“The World’s Most Magical Celebration” concluded after eighteen months at the end of March. Since mid-March, Walt Disney World properties have been removing the golden and EARidescent decorations found on various set pieces, store windows, and on merchandise. They have also been replacing anniversary-exclusive treats on menus around the property. The golden Fab 50 statues are set to remain, however.

The new logo, similar to the Disneyland Park companion app, features a blue background and a white castle silhouette. Unlike the Disneyland counterpart, the My Disney Experience App for Walt Disney World features Cinderella Castle and a silhouette of the Mickey Mouse head iconography found on MagicBand touchpoints at park and attraction entrances.

The new splash screen for the resort companion app also features a silhouette of Cinderella Castle, as well as the Walt Disney World logotype and an official sponsorship message via AT&T at the bottom of the screen. Previously it had been themed to the 50th Anniversary.

Disney100 Anniversary Celebration

The 50th Anniversary Celebration lasted 18 months, leading to a close just a few days ago at the end of March, 2023. This party was limited to the Walt Disney World property. While that event may be over, Disney is now in the midst of celebrating a much larger milestone. Across all six parks and on a global scale, Disney is now celebrating “100 Years of Wonder.”

Disney’s “100 Years of Wonder” is the largest event ever thrown by The Walt Disney Company. The heart of the celebration takes place at Disneyland Resort, as it is “The Place Where It All Began.” The party kicked off January 27, 2023. This massive celebration will allow guests to party for the same length of time as the previous anniversary party, as it is expected to last through July 2024.
