The right entrance pavilion at Universal Studios Florida has been undergoing construction recently. Today we saw new shingles are being added as work progresses and nears completion. Let’s take a closer look at the changes.
Shingles Added to Entrance Pavilion at Universal Studios Florida
We spotted significant progress to the awning as we approached the park.
Before we went through the gates, we saw that the awning is nearly complete. Just four days ago, in our previous update, we showed pictures of these coverings as just a wooden structure. They were not covered in any way.
Most of the tile shingles have now been added to this awning for the refurbished entry point. This structure covers new scanners at Universal Studios Florida.
Based on this progress, we anticipate the location should be open soon.
Pictured here is the back of the new entrance. Shingle tiles are piled atop the roof, ready to be installed.
We presume once this side is finished, work will begin on the opposite side.
Last year, Universal’s Islands of Adventure also got new, themed entry points. The new scanners at Universal Studios Florida aren’t as strongly themed but they do match the surrounding architecture of the park’s entrance and exit.
