Refurbishments appear to be underway at The Boathouse restaurant in Disney Springs. We’ve come a long way since this popular dining spot initially reopened to guests after the COVID-19 pandemic closures, though various enhancements and repairs are bound to occur over time.
This restaurant, famous for its Amphicar tours and sing along brunches, seems to have some minor work underway on its exterior.
Refurbishments at The Boathouse
We noticed this area of the deck is undergoing some sort of refurbishment, with tarps, planks of wood, and various equipment resting against the wall.
This whole portion of the dock is boarded up and partitioned from guests, with a sign reading: “Pardon our dust while we ‘craft’ a new experience for you.” Vintage images of old boat styles and posters promoting the Amphicar tours sit on either side.
These Amphicar tours are exceptionally rare, as few automobiles of this type still exist in the world. Guests are able to ride in vintage cars that double as boats on a unique tour of the Disney Springs waterways. These tours run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (weather permitting) on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations are available at the front podium or in The Boathouse Boutique.
