The EPCOT popcorn stand near MISSION: Space has been refurbished to match World Discovery.
World Discovery EPCOT Popcorn Stand
The popcorn stand in World Discovery is still completely surrounded by construction walls and privacy planters. The stand is located in directly across from the MISSION: Space attraction.
The walls have been up for about two months now. The stand has been updated with the gray and red color scheme of World Discovery.
When we first reported the construction back at the beginning of March 2023, the metal bars below the curved red and silver structure were colored blue. Now, we can see that they have been painted silver to match the roof of the stand.
The top of the stand also shows three small circles with icons representing popcorn, pretzels, and beverages.
There used to be an opening where we could see the back of the stand, but it is now covered by green tarp. This may be due to it being repainted. Previously, there were orange curtains pulled down around the stand.
As of now, the only part of the stand that we can see is the red and silver roof peeking out from the top of the construction walls.
For guests who are craving one of Walt Disney World’s most popular snacks, a temporary stand nearby is selling boxed popcorn, cotton candy, Disney frozen treats, bottled water, and Blue Moon Belgium White Ale beer. There was also a Disney100-themed popcorn bucket on the card.

Other Construction at EPCOT
With ComminiCore Hall Construction, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana construction, and the start of the removal of the Harmonious barges, it seems like EPCOT is a giant construction site.
Harmonious Barge Removal
Aerial photographer @bioreconstruct shared photos of Harmonious barges being demolished backstage at EPCOT. Two of the taco-shaped barges, plus the circular “stargate” barge, have now been removed from World Showcase Lagoon. The final performance of Harmonious was on April 2, and the first barge was gone as of April 10.
In bioreconstruct’s photos, the circular barge and the second taco barge are parked in the marina, while the deconstruction of the first taco barge continues. Two taco barges remain in the lagoon.
The second photo offers a close-up view of one of the barges being taken apart, with pieces in piles on the construction site. The barge now barely resembles its previous taco shape.
