Last night, Narcoossee’s reopened from its ten month extended refurbishment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. While we were able to dine on the overhauled “land and sea” menu, we also took a look around to see the updates within.
Narcoossee’s is right on the water. Though the exterior appears the same, it was refurbished.
Narcoossee’s Revamped Interior
Narcoosee’s is a Disney Signature Dining experience, which offers fine dining with a magical flair. Please be advised that there is a dress code for this restaurant. According to Disney’s website, “Guests are expected to dress accordingly in attire that respects the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic. Clothing should be clean, neat, and in good condition. Please no swimwear.”
Due to the popularity of this restaurant, advance reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made up to 60 days in advance using your myDisney Experience app or by visiting their website. Reservations for Narcoossee’s will be unavailable on select days in May and June to add some “finishing touches.”
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently undergoing refurbishment. Guests will hear or see construction during daytime hours. Most of the Resort’s amenities will remain available. Due to this ongoing construction, Disney has recommended that guests allow for additional travel time to avoid missing or being late for a reservation.
The updated space features a “land and sea” concept, which also inspired the new menu.
The new booths and seats are lined with blue velvet — which looks like waves from the ocean. The tables and chairs have light wood finishes, and the tables all have green stands — presumably to represent the land.
The newly redesigned restaurant features white-paneled walls and have blue-gray shutters and molding throughout.
The floating tables also have green stands, but with green seat cushions as well.
Above the bar we see a display of bottles along with a tile ornamentation.
The interior overall has a cleaner and more modern look while still retaining some of its original charm.
The boat launch isn’t far away.
The patio makes this one of the select few restaurants on Walt Disney World property that offers a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.
Reservations to dine at Narcoossee’s are available on the Walt Disney World website. You can also read our review of the newly-updated menu to see whether it’s worth your money.
