The Disney World Crowds SHOCKED Us This Weekend!

Deciding when to visit Disney World is one of the most crucial — and tricky — parts of planning your vacation. If you’re not careful, you might end up visiting the parks in the middle of hurricane season or a big holiday break!

Springtime is the perfect time to visit the parks!

Of course, major holidays like Christmas are known to bring large amounts of people to Disney World but don’t forget about other little holidays like spring break or Labor Day weekend. Now that we’ve reached mid-April, the spring break crowds are finally gone, but how has the latest runDisney event impacted the parks? Let’s take a look!

The weekend of April 13-16 marked the return of the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend! The event is filled with rare characters, special merchandise, and shiny race medals! After these races end in the morning, the Disney parks open to day guests, so we hit the parks to check out the crowd levels.

Over in EPCOT, the queue to enter the park first thing in the morning wasn’t very long. We’ve seen the line extend much further back.

We’ve seen WAY bigger crowds

Later in the day as we made our way through the World Showcase, we noticed that the line for Joffrey’s Coffee was basically nonexistent! This is a tell-tale sign that the spring break crowds are GONE.

This is a shocker!

Switching gears, Disney’s Animal Kingdom was pretty empty! You could do an entire tap dance routine with all that open space in Dinoland.

Where is everyone?

Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the crowd level was equally low.

We like the looks of this!

Even at 12:30 in the afternoon, the standby wait time for Tower of Terror was only 15 minutes — you read that right. 15 minutes!

Whaaaat?!

Toy Story Land is notorious for garnering some HUGE crowds of people, but even on a race weekend, we felt like the area was a little less busy than usual!

We missed all this extra breathing room!

After an intense couple of busy weeks in the parks, it’s nice to see the crowds dying down. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes on the wait times and the park attendance as the month continues, so stay tuned for more!
