April is finally here, and after years of talk, construction, and long periods of absolutely nothing, TRON Lightcycle / Run is opening to the general public in Tomorrowland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, April 4th. I needed a little refresher on how the whole thing works, so I thought I would bring you all along for the ride. After all, it has been more than five years since the attraction was first announced in 2017!
Since then, the project went through a rocky few years, delayed by everything from scheduling to a global pandemic; some Disney fans were sure that we would never see the opening of this attraction. This week, the ride will officially go live for all park guests, though there are a few things you will need to keep in mind before you enjoy it for yourself. Visit Erica’s article to learn everything you need to know about Virtual Queues, Lightning Lanes, the new Lockers System, and PhotoPass opportunities.
