The countdown is starting to get real for the latest addition to Disneyland Hotel!

We just got a new Disney Vacation Club lounge in Tomorrowland at Disneyland, and soon we’re going to see a whole tower of brand-new DVC rooms — the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. It’s been a little while since the last time we had an update on this project, and Disney just released a sneak peek of these villas that we can’t wait to show you.

We’re getting a behind-the-scenes look at the new Disneyland Hotel villas! The villas will be part of an expansion for the Disneyland Hotel and are expected to open in the Fall of 2023, on September 28th. The modern, contemporary look for these villas hopes to bring the classic stories of Disney to all ages and honor timeless works from Disney artists.

The guest entry, or lobby, will be the last space finished after the villa rooms themselves. Imagineers chose to stick to modern, sleek designs here for the space and furnishings, and the artwork draws some inspiration from Imagineer Mary Blair

The design and color selection for the villas was inspired by Disney animated movies. There are different sizes of villas to sleep between 2 and 12 people per room, depending on which category of room you’re booking.

The tower will have duo studios, deluxe studios, and 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom villas. Each room is themed to a Disney film, with themes including The Jungle BookThe Princess and the FrogSleeping BeautyFantasia, and Bambi.

Imagineers also looked for new ways to create wonder and found an interesting way to reshape the corridors.

The deluxe studio villas will be outfitted with small kitchenettes with both standalone and Murphy-style beds. The artist’s renderings show a rug underneath the main bed with the rest of the flooring to be non-carpeted.

A look from the outside shows a spacious area to relax poolside. There seem to be plans for ample seating and a standing pergola that will provide a bit of shade while hanging out.

Although it’s not shown, the pool bar will be nearby in the covered breezeway that will connect the new tower to the main Disneyland Hotel building. The location of this pool is just within sight of the monorail pool nearby making it easy to hop over to that pool when you’re ready!

The garden units will be a mixture of pod and studio villas that will also be inside the tower but the difference here is that you’ll have nice pool views with balconies and patios and will have a connecting covered bridge to keep it seamless with the tower.
