Disney Genie+ for Walt Disney World has sold out by 10:00 a.m. on the opening day of TRON Lightcycle Run.
Genie+ also sold out yesterday. If a sellout occurs, sales of Genie+ will not resume again until the next day. Guests can purchase Genie+ starting at 12:01 a.m. on the day of their visit.
In December we saw Genie+ sell out at Disneyland Resort for the first time ever. February 19 of this year, was the first sellout for Walt Disney World. It also sold out on February 20 and on March 15, during spring break.
Genie+ also reached its record highest price twice in the past few months. On March 12, it was $29 per person. It previously reached this price during the 2022 holiday season, with its record high before that being $22 in October.
Individual Lightning Lane for TRON Lightcycle Run was $20 today and sold out before the park opened. The first virtual queue opening filled up in seconds.
Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane
Disney Genie is a free feature that launched in October 2021 at Walt Disney World. Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane are the paid program that replaced FastPass+.
When Genie+ first launched, the service was available at a flat rate of $15 per person, per day. Last year’s switch to date-based pricing saw a new high price of $22 — which Disney noted was the highest it would go in October, implying the even higher rates that have now come to pass.
Individual Lightning Lane prices have always been on a date-based basis, but the maximum was formerly $20. Since the update to the pricing scale for Genie+, rates for Individual Lightning Lane (especially for Rise of the Resistance, arguably the attraction with the highest demand) have been rising as well.
Notably, Disney Genie+ reached $30 per person, per day at Disneyland in October 2022.

TRON Lightcycle Run
TRON Lightcycle Run is located right behind Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. It’s outside the park’s berm, and is housed in a sweeping white canopy, which helps hide a boxy show building. A walkway between Tomorrowland and Storybook Circus is also available.
Guests enter by walking under the canopy, known as the Upload Conduit. Upon uploading to The Grid, guests will join Team Blue in a race to cross through eight energy gates before the opposing Team Orange.
As you approach the entrance, there are two TRON ride vehicles to the left. They serve two purposes – so you can try them out and know what to expect when you get inside, and they provide a nice photo op.
We previously reported that some individuals have reported issues with being able to fit into the ride vehicles, so this is a great place to try them out and make sure.
There are double-sided lockers before the load area so guests can safely stow their personal belongings. Lockers are unlocked with MagicBands or plastic ticket cards; MagicMobile tickets on smartphones do not work, and guests without physical ticket media must request a white RFID card from Cast Members.
