We Ate 3 NEW Things in Disney World, But We’d Only Recommend 2

It’s no secret that we love trying new Disney food. We are Disney FOOD Blog, after all.

It’s been an eventful week in Disney World for foodie news. There’s a NEW menu at California Grill that we had to tryNarcoossee’s has reopened with a whole new makeover, and TWO Disney restaurants were recognized by Michelin Guide. But this week we also tried THREE new snacks around the parks, and we had some thoughts.

Disney has released a few new treats lately, and we tried three of them. What did we think? Let’s get started.

First, there’s a new Huckleberry Shake at Chicken Guy in Disney Springs for $6.99. It’s made with hand-spun vanilla soft serve, mixed berry puree, and topped with fresh whipped cream & Cinnamon Toast Crumble.

This was a super fun dessert that would be a perfect addition to walking around Disney Springs on a hot day! The vanilla was sweet and smooth and complimented the tart berry flavor. The whipped cream and Cinnamon Toast Crumbles made a fun topping that added a nice texture as well as a bit of whimsy.

Overall, we would get this again, but keep in mind the bottom berry portion is TART. It could have been mixed in more evenly with the shake, but if you like tart flavors, you’ll love this!

We loved those Cinnamon Toast Crumbles!

Second, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating Earth Day all month long with a ton of snacks. At Terra Treats, there’s a new Roasted Mushroom and Leek Pizza for $7.69. This is a plant-based pizza with Impossible meatballs, roasted mushrooms, braised leeks, and truffle oil.

We were SO surprised by this one! We could hardly tell that the meat was plant-based –it was flavorful, juicy, and tender. The cheese was toasted perfectly and paired well with the sausage.

There was also a ton of flavoring from the mushrooms and leeks — they were seasoned well and added a ton of depth to the pizza. Overall, this was a standout snack in the bunch.

We wish this would last past the Earth Day celebrations! If you’re not a fan of leeks and mushrooms (or can’t stand plant-based meat), this one might not be for you. But we really loved it!

So much flavor!

Lastly, Disney is celebrating Chip and Dale’s 80th birthday! For the celebration, Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs created a Chip and Dale Macaron, which we got for $6. This was a Macaron Shell filled with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Dark Chocolate Ganache with Crispies — with the cutest images of Chip and Dale on either side.

The cookie dough filling in this was really delicious, just like licking the baking spoon, but a little smoother. It really tasted like a chocolate chip cookie. The crisp pearls on the side added a nice crunch for texture and sweetness to the cookie.

Look at Chip!

However, the Dark Chocolate Ganache was VERY dark. It didn’t taste sweet at all, and our reporter wasn’t a fan. So while this is an ADORABLE snack, if you’re not a fan of dark chocolate — this might be a miss.

And Dale on the other side

So, overall, we might not recommend this one unless you’re a true dark chocolate fan. It is a little pricey at $6 for a cookie, after all. But, it is SO Instagram-worthy.

And there you have it! Three new snacks to try on your next trip to Disney World. We’ll keep reviewing all the latest Disney treats, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
