Most family-sized concepts focus on the idea of a family having four or fewer individuals. But if you have a bit (or MUCH) larger family, you’ve already learned that one-size doesn’t always fit all.

Are you planning a trip to Disney World with a BIG group? You might be wondering how to find a hotel that can accommodate everyone in your party without sacrificing space — or your budget.

Yes, it IS possible to find a hotel on Disney World property that can work for big groups of people! There are options ranging from the lower end of the price spectrum up to a HUGE splurge, so you might want to look at your budget and check out our list!

Let’s dive into these, starting with the Value options and working out way up to the big dollar option at the Deluxe level.

Value Resorts

All-Star Music Resort

Art of Animation Resort

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is another value resort with a variety of family suites available! The buildings themed to Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Lion King have suites that accommodate up to six adults, with rooms including one queen bed, one double-size murphy bed, and one double-size sleeper sofa as two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

Art of Animation has the benefit of being located on the Disney Skyliner line, but it can also be on the the pricier side of Disney’s value resorts, with the family suites typically starting from $549 per night — sometimes more during peak visit times.

Moderate Resorts

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort cabins are a popular spot for large groups, allowing groups to rent side-by-side cabins if they need extra room. Each cabin can sleep up to six adults, and they come with one queen bed, one double-size sleeper sofa, and one bunk bed. You will also find a kitchen (including a dishwasher and two burners!) and a full refrigerator.

If the cabins aren’t your thing, you can also consider the RV or camping options at Fort Wilderness, and in either case it’s a great area for your group to to explore. At night’s end, everyone can sit around a fire pit and relax after a long day in Disney World! Prices start at $549 per night, so it’s not a huge difference from Art of Animation, but it offers more privacy.

Port Orleans — Riverside Resort

If your group is more in the medium-size category with five or fewer people, Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort can be a great option! You can opt for a child-size pull-down bed and two queen beds in select rooms.

Better yet, the Port Orleans Resorts also provide boat transportation to Disney Springs. Why is this important? Sometimes in a group, you need to consider everyone’s interests and needs — and not everyone always wants to do the same thing. Choosing a resort with alternative transportation options is a great way to keep everyone happy! Prices start at $294 per night.

Coronado Springs Resort

Disney’s Coronado Springs can be a great option for various family sizes and price points! There are three options at this resort. The next option is the Casitas Executive Suite which sleeps up to eight people with a king-size bed, two queen-size beds, and a queen-size sleeper sofa starting at $1,473.

And if you head over to the Gran Destino Tower, you can select the Tower Presidential Suite, which sleeps up to six people on one king-size bed, two queen-size beds, and the extra perk of having Club Access, starting at $3,277.

Deluxe Resorts

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has a wide range of accommodations, from standard rooms all the way up to multi-room villas. For those looking to book a room through the Deluxe Resort option, you’ll find some more spacious accommodations at the Club Level.  There is a 1-Bedroom Suite and 2-Bedroom Suite option in the main Jambo House. The 1-Bedroom offers beds for up to 6 people with two queen-size beds and a queen-sized sleeper sofa starting at $1,236.

The 2-Bedroom Suite provides beds for up to 8 people with a king-size bed, 2 queen-size beds, and a queen-size sleeper sofa starting at $2,104.

Beach Club Resort

If your group is more of a moderate size, between five and seven people, Disney’s Beach Club Resort might suit your needs. It has a wide range of accommodations, from standard rooms all the way up to multi-room villas. For those looking to book a room through the Deluxe Resort option, there is a range of options from standard rooms all the way up to Club Level.  The Standard or Deluxe Room sleeps up to 5 people with two Queen Beds and one Day Bed starting at $534 per night.

The 2-Bedroom Suite is on the Club Level and sleeps up to 7 people with one king bed, two queen beds, and one day bed starting at $2,026 per night. And for the big spenders looking for the poshest option, you can book the Newport Presidential Suite, which sleeps up to 7 people with a king bed, two double beds and a day bed starting at $2,761 per night.

BoardWalk Inn Resort

If your group is more of a moderate size, between five and seven people, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort might suit your needs. It has a wide range of accommodations, from standard rooms all the way up to multi-room villas. For those looking to book a room through the Deluxe Resort option, there is a range of options from standard rooms all the way up to Club Level.  The Standard Room sleeps up to 5 people with two Queen Beds and one Day Bed starting at $596 per night.

If you’re ok with spending a little more money for the Club Level suites, the BoardWalk has those, too. The Standard and Deluxe Club Level Rooms accommodate up to 5 people with two Queen Beds and one Day Bed starting at $862 per night.

The 2-Bedroom Suite is on the Club Level and sleeps up to 9 people with two king beds, two queen beds, and one day bed starting at $2,012 per night. And for the big spenders looking for the poshest option, you can book the Sonora VP Suite, which sleeps up to 7 people with a king bed, two double beds and a day bed starting at $2,711 per night.

Contemporary Resort

If your group is more of a moderate size, between five and seven people, Disney’s Contemporary Resort might suit your needs. There is a range of options from standard rooms all the way up to Club Level.  The Standard Rooms are available in the Garden Wing or the Main Tower. The Garden Wing Room sleeps up to 5 people with two Queen Beds and one Day Bed starting at $550 per night. The Main Tower Room sleeps up to 5 people with two Queen Beds and one Day Bed starting at $774 per night.

The Club Level Suites offer more options at both the Garden Wing and the Main Tower. The 1-Bedroom Suites sleep between 5-7 people depending on the Garden Wing Rooms, the Main Tower Rooms, and the Garden Hospitality Suite Rooms and start at $1,456  per night.

2-Bedroom Suite is on the Club Level and sleeps up to 8 people with one king bed, two queen beds, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa starting at $1,898 per night. And for the big spenders looking for the poshest option, you can book the Theme Park View Presidential Suite, which sleeps up to 8 people with one king bed, two queen beds, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa, starting at $3,277 per night.

Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Step over into Disney World’s Flagship resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Most of the rooms that can accommodate more than four guests are at the Club level, but there is an option for a Standard Room in the outer buildings, which sleeps up to 5 people. Two queen beds and a day bed start at $780 per night.

The Club Level rooms come in several sizes, a Standard Room, 1-Bedroom Suite, and 2-Bedroom Suites. The Standard Club Room sleeps up to 5 people with two queen beds and a day bed starting at $1,257 per night. The 1-Bedroom Suite sleeps up to 6 people with two queen beds and a double-sized sleeper sofa starting at $1,660 per night. The 2-Bedroom Suite sleeps up to 8 people with a king bed, two queen beds and a double-sized sleeper sofa starting at $2,696 per night.

Polynesian Village Resort

Dive into the tropics at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Most of the rooms that can accommodate more than four guests are at the Club level, but there is an option for a Standard Room, which sleeps up to 5 people, starting at $662 per night.

To get the higher occupancy, you’ll have to splurge a bit. The Ambassador VP Suite sleeps up to 8 people with one king bed, two queen beds, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa starting at $2,656 per night. Wilderness Lodge Resort

Looking to find some luxury in the great outdoors? Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort might be just the respite you’re looking for. You’re only option at this Pacific Northwest oasis is at the Club Level. The Deluxe Room sleeps up to 6 people, with two queen beds and a queen-sized sleeper sofa starting at $1,134 per night.

Yacht Club Resort

If a New England seaside getaway is your speed, then Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is your stop. You’ve got two options at the Yacht Club, so let’s take a look. The Standard Room sleeps up to 5 people, with two queen beds and a twin-sized sleeper chair, OR a queen bed, a twin sleeper chair, and a day bed, starting at $537 per night.

To get the higher occupancy, you’ll have to splurge a bit. The 2-Bedroom Club Level Suite sleeps up to 6 people with two king beds and a queen-sized sleeper sofa starting at $2,182 per night.

Deluxe Villa Resorts

Disney’s Vacation Club Villas come in all shapes and sizes. There are Studios that closely resemble standard resort rooms, and are the cheapest options at this level (but often don’t accommodate more than 4 people). There are 1 Bedroom Villas that can typically sleep up to 5 people and have a living area ususally equipped with a queen-sized sleeper sofa and twin-sized sleeper chair, and a separate bedroom with a king-size bed. There are 2-Bedroom Villas that can sleep up to 9 people. The 2-Bedroom has the set up of the 1-Bedroom Villa, plus an extra room with two additional queen-sized beds. And finally, the 3-Bedroom Grand Villa that can sleep up 12 people. The Grand Villas have a king bed, four queen beds, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa.

The prices will vary based on the resort and the season, but the accommodations are pretty standard across the property. So, though your theming may reflect the different story of each resort, the sleeping arrangements will be standardized.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas

Animal Kingdom Lodge offers villa options at both of it’s sections: Jambo House and Kidani Village.

Jambo House

The options that accommdate up to 5 people are the 1-Bedroom and the 3-Bedroom Grand Villas. The 1-Bedroom Villa is available as a Standard and at the Club Level. It sleeps up to 5 people  and starts at $756 per night. The 3-Bedroom Grand Villa sleeps up to 12 people and starts at $2,538 per night.

Kidani Village

Kidani Village is the original DVC property at Animal Kingdom Lodge and offers all four accommodations options. The prices vary throughout the year based on the season and upon the view.

• 2 Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 9 people, starting at $1,141 per night

• 2 Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 8 people, starting at $1,236 per night

BoardWalk Inn Resort Villas

The BoardWalk Inn only offers the Deluxe Studio Villas and the 1-Bedroom Villas, however only the Deluxe Studio sleeps up to 5 people, starting at $596 per night.

Boulder Ridge Villas

The Boulder Ridge Villas are one of the DVC options at the rustic Wilderness Lodge. Boulder Ridge offers three of the accommodation options, but only two of them sleep more than 4 guests.

• Deluxe Studio Villa sleeps up to 5 people, starting at $551 per night
• 2 Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 8 people, starting at $1,250 per night

The Best Disney World Villas for 2023

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins

The Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are the other DVC options at the rustic Wilderness Lodge. Even though this DVC option provides more in terms of accommodation selections, only three sleep more than four people.

• 2 Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 8 people, starting at $1,250 per night
• Cabin sleeps up to 8 people, starting at $2,518 per night

Old Key West Villas

Old Key West Villas are the first and original DVC resort, and since they were the pioneers into the vacation club frontier, the rooms are actually a bigger than most other rooms. It provides all four options.

• 2 Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 9 people, starting at $892 per night

Riviera Resort

Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest resort to join the Disney resort family, and the whole tower is all DVC Villas so they sleep more people, and also have that extra convenience of being on the Skyliner route for access to more resorts and two of the parks.
