Summer is almost here! Do you know what that means?
If you said “It’s time to belt out ‘In Summer’” like our snowman pal, Olaf, we don’t blame you! But, the changing of seasons is bringing with it another reason to get excited — new food in Disney World! There are so many exciting new changes coming to menus across the resort. Let’s take a look at what we can expect.
First, there have been a few additions to the menu at Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada pavilion in EPCOT. Three new appetizers have arrived. The Green Onion & Garlic Canadian Cove Mussels feature P.E.I Mussels with ramp pistou cream, and broiled ciabatta. The Mushroom Bisque features morel mushrooms, potatoes, and crème fraiche. And third, the Jumbo Chilled Shrimp is paired with a tasty cocktail sauce and Espelette pepper cream.
There are also two new entrees on the menu: the Prime Steak Tartare “Kibbeh Nayeh” with Bulgar wheat, radish, mint, and a garlic aïoli and the Grilled Scallops with caviar, zucchini fritter, patty pan squash, sweety drop pepper, and a creamy piquillo sauce.
Over at Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort, there’s a new plant-based option to try. The Korean-style IMPOSSIBLE Burger is topped with a Korean-style barbecue sauce and pickled vegetable slaw. Starting on June 1st, these locations will also serve the Seas the Plant-based Summer, a plant-based chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and sprinkles.
At Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you’ll soon be able to try the Cuban Burger, which features ham, pickled pepper relish, provolone, and dijonnaise on a toasted brioche bun. At Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, the Bases Loaded Burger will be available at The End Zone Food Court starting on June 21st.
In the food courts of the All-Star Resorts, the Sweet Summertime Favorites will debut on June 1st. This plate with chocolate sugar cookies and raspberry dipping sauce is designed to look like a hot dog and french fries.
Two new sundaes will also be hitting the menu at Centertown Market in Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. The Mickey Sundae has vanilla-chocolate swirl soft-serve and is topped with mini brownies, Mickey ears, and chocolate décor. The Minnie Sundae is vanilla soft-serve and includes strawberry sauce, Minnie ears, a bow, and chocolate décor.
For those of you that didn’t get a chance to try the Minnie Croissant Roll over Mother’s Day, there will soon be a new version — the Strawberry Shortcake Croissant Roll at the BoardWalk Deli. This croissant dough with strawberry filling will be available on the weekends only starting, May 29, 2023.
There will also be a Summer Berry Shortcake at Gasparilla Island Grill in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa starting June 1st, 2023. This new treat will feature vanilla sponge cake, blueberry compote, strawberries, and Chantilly.
And, a new Margarita Flight featuring black cherry, spicy pineapple, raspberry, and cucumber melon margaritas will soon be available at Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Lastly, at Coronado Springs Resort, there is a new drink at Toledo — Tapas, Steak, and Seafood. The Smoked Passion Fruit is made with Agustín Blázquez Felipe II Solera Reserva Brandy, demerara syrup, passion fruit, smoked cinnamon, and a house-made frozen orange juice cube.
