“Dancing With the Stars” season 32 will air on ABC again, alongside Disney+ streaming, Variety reports.
The first 30 seasons of “Dancing With the Stars” aired on ABC from 2005 to 2022. Season 31 streamed exclusively on Disney+ in 2022.
Season 32 will air on ABC and stream on Disney+ on the same day. It will be available the day after on Hulu.
As Variety pointed out, the move is probably due to the Writers Guild of America (WGA) voting for a strike as negotiations over royalties and residual payments from streaming content reached a stalemate. Scripted TV will be significantly impacted by the strike so networks will rely on unscripted shows like “Dancing With the Stars” more than before.
“Dancing With the Stars” season 32 will premiere this fall. Cast members have yet to be announced but Alfonso Ribeiro will continue to host, alongside new co-host Julianne Hough.
