CNBC released a story regarding the ongoing battle between Disney and DeSantis. The Walt Disney Company has expanded its federal lawsuit accusing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of doubling down on his retribution campaign against Disney.
DeSantis recently signed legislation voiding Disney’s development deals. In response to that, Disney decided to file an updated lawsuit. Let’s look at what Disney wrote in its additions to the civil complaint filed.
“Governor DeSantis and his allies have no apparent intent to moderate their retaliatory campaign any time soon,”
Disney’s amended lawsuit also mentioned that Florida’s Republican-led legislation last week targeted their monorail system that transports guests to EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and nearby resorts.
According to the story on CNBC, Disney alleges that DeSantis has waged a war of retaliation against the company after they spoke up publicly about the controversial Florida bill that was widely known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
CNBC noted that DeSantis’ office did not immediately respond to their request for a comment on the amended complaint.
