Important UPDATE Announced for Disney Cruise Line

Ready to go on a Disney Cruise? There’s something you need to know about FIRST.

Disney Cruise Line!

Disney Cruise Line has a lot of exciting things coming up from the new addition of Magic Bands on board, to the return of Halloween on the High Seas, and the 25th Anniversary celebrations for the cruise line! But there’s another major change you need to know about.

A big thanks to Small World Vacations for sharing these details with us. Castaway Club Members have NEW online check-in windows for their upcoming cruises. Guests can now complete their online check-ins based on their membership level.

Castaway Cay

In case you don’t know, Castaway Club is Disney Cruise Line’s loyalty reward program for people who have already sailed with the Disney Cruise Line before. There are four levels to the club — Pearl, Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Guests enter these tiers based on the number of cruises they’ve taken.

Guests automatically reach Silver status after one cruise. Gold status is reached after 5 cruises. Guests who sail more than 10 times become Platinum members and Pearl can be achieved after 25 cruises. The Pearl level was just added recently in February 2023.

Pearl and Concierge level can now check-in online 40 days prior to sailing. Platinum members can check in 38 days before and Gold members can check in 35 days before. If you’re a Silver member, you can check in 33 days before sailing and all other guests can check in 30 days before setting sail.

(Most recently, prior to this change, online cruise check-in was just set at 30 days prior to the sail date.)

Checking in at the Cruise

Checking in for your Disney Cruise can take 10-15 minutes online depending on how many guests you have in your party. Before starting the process, make sure you have your passport, a photo of each member of your party (shoulders up with a blank background), and a credit card to put on your file.

Guests should do their online check-in as early as they are able so they can select a port arrival time.
