Oh, cheese, how do we love thee, let us count the ways. We’d write ALL the poetry we could about cheese, and it still would not be enough to show our love for it.

But what’s even better than cheese? Cheese soup! Disney has given us a LOT of great cheese soup options in the past (hello, Le Cellier at EPCOT), but now we’re taking a look at a seasonal cheese soup that you might not want to miss — and it’s not in Disney World AT ALL.

We had to travel to the West Coast for this cheese soup, but we’re about to tell you why it may be one you can’t resist. To find this, head on over to Pacific Wharf Cafe at Disney California Adventure Park (at Disneyland Resort). If you’re familiar with this dining spot, you’ll know that’s where you can get those delicious homemade sourdough bread bowls.

Well, a seasonal soup + bread bowl offering just recently popped up here: Beer Cheese Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. Excuse us? BEER CHEESE SOUP? In one of those bread bowls? Yes, please!

It’s even topped with Toasted Pretzels — talk about a nice upgrade.

We had ZERO complaints about this dish. It’s served warm and has a smooth, creamy texture. It also has a hint of a kick thanks to some pepper flakes in the soup. Plus, it’s got some caramelized onions and bacon in it, which take this cheese soup up ANOTHER level.

The pretzel bits soak up the cheese, so once you bite into them, they’re soft and cheesy. It’s cheesy, it’s savory, it’s good soup, and it’s in a bread bowl — WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK OF THE WORLD?!
