The new Universal CityWalk logo has made its debut on a sign for Mother’s Day brunch at VIVO Italian Kitchen.
CityWalk Logo
Universal Destinations & Experiences revealed a series of new logos, including the new CityWalk logo, two months ago. It’s featured at the top of this sign currently displayed at Universal CityWalk Orlando, but the logo is for both the Florida and Hollywood versions of CityWalk.
Here’s a closer look at the new logo. It’s quite a departure from the previous two logos (below). “Universal” is in golden lettering. “City” is light purple, with a gold border. And “Walk” is neon purple. On the small version of the logo, the three words are stacked on top of each other. On the version in the poster above, “City” and “Walk” are next to each other.
This CityWalk logo was used from 1999 to 2018 and had a rock-n-roll-style design. On a solid black background, 1960s-style graphics in purple, red, and orange intersect with an orange triangle. “CityWalk” is written a jagged style with “Universal Studios” above and “Orlando” found below.
This more modern logo replaced the rock-n-roll logo in 2018. It was much cleaner with “Universal” and “Orlando” against lime green rectangles and “CityWalk” in large block letters.

Universal CityWalk Orlando
CityWalk is a shopping and dining complex at the entrance to Universal Orlando Resort free to enter. Guests walk through it to reach Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
In addition to restaurants like Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen and Pat O’Brien’s, CityWalk has an AMC movie theatre and Universal’s Great Movie Escape. The latter attraction features escape rooms inspired by “Jurassic World” and “Back to the Future.”
For the first time this year, CityWalk and Universal’s Islands of Adventure participated in Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval.
The Red Coconut Club has been rethemed throughout the past year to reflect different holidays and Universal Orlando Resort festivals. Most recently, it’s been The Cursed Coconut Club for Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Mardi Gras. For Halloween Horror Nights 31, the venue was transformed into a Universal Monsters theme and met with great success in its shift to the Dead Coconut Club. During the holiday season, the venue was revamped again to open as Green & Red Coconut Club, which gave the club a holiday theme replacing the monsters with Christmas trees and twinkling lights.
In honor of the May 19 release of “Fast X,” the tenth installment in the “Fast and the Furious” series, cars are now on display outside of Universal Cinemark at CityWalk.
