Are you a whiskey fan?! There’s just one place in Disney World you might have to visit.
Raglan Road
Raglan Road Irish Pub at Disney Springs is home to delicious eats, incredible entertainment, and quite a selection of whiskey. Not only that, but Raglan Road is celebrating World Whiskey Day on May 20th in a big way — come check it all out with us!
World Whiskey Day is on May 20th this year, and Raglan Road is celebrating! Through May 21st, you can try a flight of four select whiskeys from around the world for $30! Plus, while you’re there participating in all the festivities, you can nosh on some of the incredible eats Raglan Road serves up.
World Whiskey Day Flight
Each whiskey is from a different country — Canada, the United States, Ireland, and Scotland. Caribou Crossing from Canada is the world’s first single-barrel Canadian whisky which is aged in oak barrels for 10 years. It has notes of caramel and butterscotch and is definitely on the sweeter side, but still very smooth! Buffalo Trace is a popular Kentucky Bourbon that comes from the most award-winning distillery in the world, and it tastes like it! It’s pretty smooth overall and is a little on the sweet side.
The whiskey flight!
We also sampled the Keeper’s Heart from Ireland and America, which is a new style of whiskey! It tasted like a blend of a spicier Irish whiskey and a sweeter bourbon. Finally, the Glenfarclas 12-Year Single Malt Scotch whisky was probably our favorite of them all — it was so smoky thanks to the peat and we really enjoyed it. We think Ron Swanson would probably approve.
This flight is available year-round at Raglan Road and is normally $45, but through May 21st you can get it for just $30.
We were also able to sample a few dishes that will be featured on a new summer menu at Raglan Road! You’ll find plenty of classic Irish fare on the menu here, but don’t think it’s just fish and chips (though you can get them, and they are SPECTACULAR!). Raglan Road puts a twist on some of your favorite classics in a new and exciting way.
The menu!
First up, we tried the Sure, I’m Frittered appetizer, which is a broccoli, corn, and chili fritter with jalapeño red pepper relish and sweet corn puree. If all vegetables were served like this, we’re pretty sure no kids would ever protest. The veggies inside the fritter were tender but not mushy, while the outside was crispy and well-fried without being too heavy.
We didn’t really taste a whole lot from the corn puree, but that jalapeño red pepper relish was the star of this for sure. It was sweet with a hint of spice, and combined with the saltiness of the fritter was perfection.
Sure, I’m Frittered
We also tried the Cider House Pork Belly— Irish cider glazed spiced pork belly with pickled cabbage slaw, butternut squash, and maple puree. We enjoyed the pork belly, though not as much as the fritter surprisingly. The glaze didn’t have a lot of flavor, and most of what we tasted was the smokiness and saltiness of the pork belly — which isn’t a bad thing at all, but we were hoping for more spice!
Cider House Pork Belly
That Good, That Goat is a goat cheese terrine salad with pickled beets, candied walnuts, and sherry vinaigrette. You could probably put fried cheese on just about anything and we’ll eat it — this was certainly no exception. The herbed goat cheese was lightly fried on the outside and perfectly crispy. Combined with the tangy vinaigrette and pickled beets took this dish to the next level.
That Good That Goat
It wouldn’t be a Raglan Road review if we didn’t get some sort of meat pie, right? We’re glad we did, too — this Chicken Pot Pie Do Try was so herby and flavorful. It’s made with chicken, wild mushrooms, and leeks baked inside a little pastry pie. Well, we shouldn’t say “little” because this thing was huge! You can find it on the menu now at Raglan Road, but we’re told the recipe is being revamped for the summer menu too.
Zero complaints here
And finally — they say you should save the best for last and if you ask us, Raglan Road delivered. The Sunshine State of Mind dessert is a sweet orange bread pudding with homemade vanilla whipped cream and an orange butterscotch sauce. This was developed for Flavors of Florida coming to Disney Springs in July — and you’re gonna want to taste it.
Sunshine State of Mind Dessert
We can’t say enough good things about this dessert! It was like a sticky bread pudding with a slight citrus twist — the oranges didn’t overpower the rest of the flavors here. It was a little on the sweet side thanks to the butterscotch sauce, but the bread pudding and rich whipped cream helped to balance everything out. Make sure you check this out later this summer!
Like sunshine in your mouth
Whether you’re a whiskey fan or not, Raglan Road should definitely be on your list of restaurants to visit the next time you’re headed to Disney World. Plus, you might even catch a special event while you’re there. Not only that but if you’re after some entertainment — you can find it here! From Irish folk music to dancers and more, stop by Raglan Road if you’re looking for a good time.

Disney recently shared a NEW LOOK at a special part of the resort that will be opening on September 28th, 2023 — the POOL! Starting on September 28th, those staying at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will be able to access the new Palette Pool area.
That pool area will include the Palette Pool itself, the Palm Breeze Bar, and a splash pad themed to the Steamboat Willie short, which really helped kick off Mickey Mouse’s journey to becoming the international icon he is today. Disney has shared a new look at this splash pad.
There will be a “large grayscale model inspired by the boat in ‘Steamboat Willie’” with Mickey Mouse at the helm (of course). Around it will be various water play features including a waterfall right on the boat, fog effects, pop jets, and fountains.
And while it looks fun enough in black and white, after the sun sets things will get even more interesting as the splash pad “transforms from black and white to vivid colors with the help of some artistic lighting.”
In addition to the splash pad, this area will have the Palette Pool which will be shaped like…you guessed it — a palette. There will also be multicolored lounge areas to relax on.
Need something to drink? Head to the Palm Breeze Bar. That’s where you’ll find decor inspired by Disney Legend, Mary Blair (whose work you’ll recognize from “it’s a small world” and more).
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will have rooms themed to different Disney classics like “The Jungle Book,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Fantasia” and more. It’ll officially open to the public on September 28th, 2023 and reservations are already available.
Additionally, Disney points out — “Disney Vacation Club sales for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel are available for all existing members and open to the public on May 30.”

The Court’s unprompted suggestion, on two separate occasions, that the State punished Disney by eliminating its ‘special status’ gives an appearance of partiality that would lead a reasonable observer to question whether the Court is predisposed to ruling that the State retaliated against Disney.
…the Court even associated the State’s Disney-related actions with potential First Amendment protected activity – being ‘woke’ and making ‘a statement that . . . ran afoul of state policy of the controlling party.’
The Court’s comments thus could reasonably be understood to reflect that the Court has prejudged Disney’s retaliation theory here, and therefore create ‘significant doubt[s] about the [Court’s] impartiality’ in this important matter.
The Court’s comments seemingly reflect its opinion on whether the State punished Disney’s speech by revoking Disney’s ‘special status.’
