PHOTOS: See the NEW Live-Action Little Mermaid Meet and Greet at Hollywood Studios

The day we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived — Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid remake is here!

We’ve been preparing by watching the trailers, getting some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, and even doing our makeup like the iconic princess. But now, we can celebrate in a whole new way thanks to the new live-action Little Mermaid meet and greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Not only has the new Little Mermaid premiered in theaters, but you can officially meet the live-action version of Ariel in the parks! Disney previously announced that a live-action Little Mermaid meet-and-greet would be coming to Disneyland and Disney World this summer, and now that time has come.

In Hollywood Studios, you’ll be able to meet the live-action Ariel in Walt Disney Presents. This is the same spot that was previously being used for a Sulley meet and greet.

And if you’re over in Disneyland, you can find her at the promenade near “it’s a small world”.

Now, let us walk you through our experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We got in line to meet Ariel bright and early, but the line was super long on opening day. It’s a good thing we have feet and not a tail because we stood in line for a LONG time. The posted wait time was 60 minutes, but we ended up waiting 95 minutes.

At last — we made it!

Hi, Ariel!

We chatted with Ariel all about Prince Eric’s kingdom and even got a peek at the map!

It was so lovely to get to know Ariel. She was bright and bubbly and so much fun to meet!

While we’re at it, can we take a moment to appreciate the new outfit? It’s beautiful! Can you tell we had a GREAT time?!
