Disney+ will air a new special of “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian” about the making of season 3 on June 28, 2023.
The Making of Season 3
“The Mandalorian” season 3 aired from March 1 through April 19, 2023. Disney released a behind-the-scenes image from “The Making of Season 3” special featuring Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Captain Carson Teva.
“The Mandalorian” season 4 is in development.
The Mandalorian & Spinoffs
Pedro Pascal stars in “The Mandalorian” as Din Djarin, with Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder acting as body doubles. Several puppeteers operate the hugely popular Grogu. Other recurring actors and characters include Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Omid Abtahi as Penn Pershing, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, and Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto. Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryze was a main character in season 3.
Temuera Morrison appeared as Boba Fett, and Ming-Na Wen appeared as Fennec Shand before starring in the spin-off, “The Book of Boba Fett,” which aired in late 2021 and early 2022.
A second spin-off, “Ahsoka,” will premiere this August. Rosario Dawson takes over the role of Ahsoka Tano from Ashley Eckstein, who voiced Ahsoka in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars Rebels.” More characters from “Star Wars Rebels” will appear, including Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger. Hera and Chopper will also appear — and, no spoilers, but another “Star Wars Rebels” character just made his live-action debut in “The Mandalorian.”
The Mandalorian and Grogu in Disney Parks
Din Djarin and his little buddy Grogu have recently been added to the character set circulating in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. They are routinely visiting Batuu in Disneyland. They also made a special appearance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World to celebrate season three of “The Mandalorian” premiering on Disney+.

“The Mandalorian” creator Jon Favreau recently said he thinks there should be a ride based on the show in Disney Parks, citing Din Djarin’s old spaceship, the Razor Crest, as the perfect vehicle.
