The Darth Maul-inspired Dark Side Chocolate Creation is back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for another Star Wars Day.
This chocolate mousse treat is only available on May 4 and May 5 at PizzeRizzo and Trolley Car Café.
Dark Side Chocolate Creation – $5.99
Malted milk chocolate mousse dome with raspberry mousse filling, slivered almonds, and chocolate shortbread cookie
Disney is continuing its trend of raspberry in these limited-time treats, and it is a welcome surprise here. The mousse dome is creamy without being overly rich, and the raspberry filling adds a nice tartness to balance it out.
The chocolate shortbread crust is also a nice change of pace from the usual graham cracker.
We really appreciated the slivered almonds for the horns instead of the played-out white chocolate.
Overall this is a surprisingly nice and balanced treat, with a few tricks up its menacing sleeve.
May the 4th
May 4 is considered Star Wars Day because “May the 4th” sounds like “May the Force (be with you).” It’s celebrated annually by “Star Wars” fans and now Disney and Lucasfilm. At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it’s called Black Spire Day, honoring the founding of the Batuu outpost.
This year’s May the 4th collection was released on shopDisney in April and is now available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. New Black Spire Outpost tees were also released.
A new Dok-Ondar action figure will be available on shopDisney, too. A new Sith wayfinder and Cal Kestis lightsaber hilt were released at Dok-Ondar’s today. A light-up acid spitter orb sipper is available at Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay 7. New Legacy Lightsaber hilts will arrive at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge throughout the month of May.

Carrie Fisher will receive a posthumous star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame on Star Wars Day this year.
“Star Wars: Visions” volume 2 and “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” will premiere on Disney+ on May the 4th.
