We tasted the Sand Pail Sundae at Typhoon Lagoon and have a full rundown for you. Let’s check it out.
Sand Pail Sundae – $16.99
Vanilla and Chocolate Swirled Soft-serve, Waffle Cone Pieces, Vanilla Cake, Cookies ‘n Cream Crumbles, Hot Fudge, Caramel Sauce, Whipped Cream, Rainbow Sprinkles, and a Cherry layered into an exclusive souvenir Sand Pail Bucket
The Sand Pail Sundae is a fully-loaded ice cream dessert that’s served in a take home plastic sand bucket.
The treat towers over the top of the bucket. The bottom of the container has indentations for making a proper sand castle. Minnie poses on one side atop turquoise waters, snowflakes, and hibiscus flowers.
This sundae comes with a lot of ice cream. It’s similar to sundaes we’ve seen at Typhoon Lagoon before, but brownie pieces are no longer included.
Instead, they’ve added vanilla cake, which we thought was a little soggy and didn’t really add anything good to the dessert. This is a very sweet sundae. We’d recommend it for a family of four or more; it’s pretty challenging to finish this solo.
Mickey Mouse is also featured on the bucket pattern alongside three park original characters: Ice Gator, Buttons and Salty. It is the same design that is featured on the One-Day Refillable Mug available also available at Typhoon Lagoon. This design does not feature the 50th Anniversary Celebration logo, as the party ended in late March.
We actually miss the blue ice cream from the previous sundae that we reviewed in early April. This version is just vanilla and chocolate swirl. It’s nothing fancy.
