Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations are officially over, and we’re just a little bit nostalgic.
After all, it was 18 months of special entertainment, EARidescent merchandise, and more blue food coloring in snacks than Disney World had probably ever seen. What a time to be alive! But now that the celebrations are over and Disney has moved on to the 100th Anniversary, one of our readers spotted something interesting.
DFB reader Kellie F. sent us a message recently to share something unusual she spotted in her local 7/11 gas station. There were 50th Anniversary Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars in the freezer! It’s like a blast from the past, you guys.
We suppose that Disney had to find something to do with the leftover ice cream bars — currently, the ones available in the parks are packaged in 100th Anniversary wrapping. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Disney World snacks in random places though — back in 2020 someone spotted the Galaxy’s Edge detonator-shaped sodas in a small little store in Alabama.
We’ll be on the lookout for other nods to the 50th Anniversary, so stay tuned to DFB. We’ll keep you updated on all of the Disney celebrations that you need to know about!
