Let’s face it, we all have our own favorite Disney characters.
And it’s the best when you can actually meet your favorite characters in and around the parks. There’s a very popular character that started meeting recently, and there’s typically a 2.5 hour+ wait to meet her! We got the chance to say hi to her, and we wanted to share the deets on how to have your best chance to meet Moana, too!
Over in Animal Kingdom, our favorite wayfinder Moana is meeting with guests. She meets at Character Landing (Pocahontas’s old meeting spot) near Isle of Java — headed toward Dinoland USA.
Her first day out meeting guests was on Animal Kingdom’s 25th anniversary — April 22nd, 2023.
Moana is typically meeting people from 9:30AM until 3:00PM. They will cut the line off at 3PM, so if you’re in line before then, you can still meet with her.
Now here’s the most important thing to know: The wait can typically be 2.5 hours or more.
When we queued up for her meet and greet at park open, we waited around 30 minutes behind the resort guests that had already started the line. If you’re park hopping, expect anywhere between a 2.5 to 3.5 hour wait, and try to make it into the line before the 3pm cut off.
Our best bit of advice on how to meet her is to go for it first thing, early in the morning, or else expect to wait multiple hours. Best of luck to you if you plan on meeting Moana, and keep it here on DFB for the latest Disney park, movies, and more news you can use!
