Are you ready to track down an ultimate Disney food icon? For many families visiting Walt Disney World, eating a Mickey Waffle is a rite of passage!

But waffles come in all shapes and sizes at Disney and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to choose between them. Lately, we’ve seen Mickey, Simba, Liege, and Belgian Waffles — just to name a few. There are even Mickey Waffles for plant-based diners.

The truly epic Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich is a big ol’ crunchy, golden Belgian Waffle, fresh from the iron. Then, it’s slathered in gobs of chocolate-hazelnut Nutella spread which becomes slightly melty.

Lots of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and sliced banana make this too big to really eat like a sandwich — so grab a knife and fork, friends!

EPCOT

Connections Cafe and Eatery

Connections Cafe debuted the Liege Waffle — brioche dough with pearl and powdered sugar. The outside is actually encrusted with an amazing, pearl sugar. That combined with the warm waffle gave us some caramel flavors!

If you like Danish pastry, this is a fun spin on those. It’s also not super filling, so it would make a good snack or a light breakfast. Watch for specialty waffles, especially during EPCOT festivals.

At Connections Eatery, the Liege Waffle gets fancy with Strawberries, Whipped Cream, and Chocolate Sauce. Delicious!

With all the toppings, it’s definitely sweet when you eat it all together! Plus, this is big enough to share between a couple of people.

Chicken and waffles in space — who knew?!

The Chicken on Waffle dish is quite tasty, featuring a Smoked Bacon and Roasted Corn Waffle.

DISNEY SPRINGS

Many places in Disney World serve waffles on their brunch menu. One such restaurant is STK Orlando where you can order Hot chicken and Waffle. At The Boathouse, a Belgian Waffle is available. Or look for snacks at these locations…

At the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop in Disney Springs, don’t miss the Magical Sundae.

Whatever flavors you’re into, there’s probably a bubble waffle sundae at Marketplace Snacks that will please your taste buds.

This is the place to find Mickey Bubble Waffle Sundaes.

Scoot on over to Vivoli il Gelato for Liege waffles. Yes, you can even have a waffle with gelato for breakfast!

Options include a Pearl Sugar, Strawberry, Nutella, Churro, or Gelato Waffle. And keep an eye out for specialty waffles — like this cookies and cream version!

DISNEY RESORTS

The Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club offers a Dark Chocolate Waffle on the breakfast menu.

These waffles are topped with a Dried Cherry Compote, Espresso-Mascarpone Cream, and Chocolate Shavings.

Served for breakfast and lunch at The Grand Floridian Cafe, the Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle comes with a hand-breaded chicken breast, a malted waffle, and a sriracha-honey drizzle.

It’s a little breakfast, a little lunch, a little heat, and a whole LOTTA YUM.

Let’s move over to Disney’s Riviera Resort! There, we recommend the character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace, which offers Sour Cream Waffles with a Roasted Apple, Chantilly, and Orange-Maple Syrup.

The waffles are less sweet than the classic Mickey waffles, probably because they’re made with sour cream. The maple syrup is *chef’s kiss* perfection, and adds a beautiful citrus flavor to the dish.

For the kids, Topolino’s serves two Mickey-shaped waffles on-a-stick. They’re the same Mickey Waffle you’ll find elsewhere, but they’re extra-gussied up

BREAKFAST WAFFLES WITH CHARACTER

Want more Mickey waffles? If you’re looking to load up on character waffles, you might want to consider visiting an all-you-care-to-eat family-style restaurant or a buffet, like Chef Mickey’s or ‘Ohana.  Mickey waffles are usually light and fluffy with a hint of vanilla flavor.

At Boma in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, choose from Mickey or Simba waffles.

Or do like we do… have both!

Hollywood Scoops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is servin’ up Mickey Waffles!

At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Mickey and Stitch have been known to appear on a waffle or two during the Best Friends Breakfast at ‘Ohana.

They’re not particularly unique, but if you’re looking for a classic character waffle, these will satisfy you!

At Whispering Canyon Cafe located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, you’ll get both Mickey AND Minnie — fun!

The waffles were your typical Mickey waffles — soft, fluffy, and sweet.

Ingredients:
