If it feels like more hotel discounts than usual are available for stays at Walt Disney World this summer and fall, you’re not alone. In years past, we’ve often seen room discounts saving guests up to 25%, but this year, deeper discounts are happening – up to 35% off for Disney Visa Cardholders and up to 30% for Florida residents!
Last week, it was officially announced that the Disney Dining Plan will make its grand return in 2024. Still, it leaves us contemplating whether or not the ever-popular Free Dining promotion could also make a comeback.
Of course, one of the biggest debates we’ve seen on the Disney Dining Plan discussion forum on DISboards.com is if the Dining Plan is cost-effective. Good arguments are coming from both sides, but ultimately, whether it’s “worth it” or not depends on the dynamic of your family and how you dine during your Disney vacation.
While we acknowledge that the Dining Plan of yesteryear was a far better deal than it’s been in more recent years, many guests jump at the chance to take advantage of it. Back in the day, it didn’t matter where you were staying, and as long as it was an official Disney hotel, you’d receive the Disney Dining Plan for each member of your traveling party. That all went by the wayside when the rules changed, and you could only get the standard Dining Plan if you stayed in a Deluxe Disney Resort. You’d get the Quick-Service Dining Plan if you booked a Value or Moderate Resort.
So, we want to hear your thoughts about it; do you think Free Dining will return? Let us know in the comments section below!
