Universal Studios Hollywood has announced its second Halloween Horror Nights house for 2023: Naughty Dog’s “The Last of Us.”

As rumored, the house will be based on the video game, not the HBO series.

The franchise follows survivors of a fungal infection, called Cordyceps for short after the fungus it originated from. Humans can be infected by breathing in spores or being bitten by an Infected.

Unlike Universal Orlando Resort, dates and details for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood have not been announced.

The event is confirmed to return select nights this fall and will feature a house based on the SYFY series “Chucky.”
