It’s no secret that some of the most highly-anticipated films coming out in the next few years are from Disney, with their studio producing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Avatar 3, and the upcoming Star Wars movies. The release dates for most of these movies have been in place for quite some time now, but nearly everything has changed for the company since those dates were released. The release dates for 15 films you might be looking forward to have been pushed back. Presumably, these movies have been delayed due to the Writers Guild strike of 2023, although Disney has not confirmed it.
The Walt Disney Company holds some of the most valuable IPs in the movie market, with the company over the MCU, Star Wars, Avatar, and a massive library of classic animated movies. Many of the highest-grossing movies of each year belong to Disney, meaning that their blockbusters are always tentpole films for a year’s release calendar. Because of this, Disney movie delays could change everything, with many smaller movies being released around Disney’s massive schedule. Well, some serious changes are coming, as Disney has shifted the release dates of many of its biggest films in the coming years.
