It may be summer, but thanks to a SLEW of announcements by Disney World, we’re already gearing up for the holiday season.
We’re ready to enjoy some delicious holiday snacks, and we’re ready to check out the brand NEW holiday party happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But we’ll also be going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom, and we can’t wait to see, do, and eat ALL the things. So here’s what is happening at this year’s party!
So far, Disney has confirmed the following for this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Entertainment
Those attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will have no shortage of entertainment. First, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be returning, which is a “festive procession” that features dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, all your favorite characters in their holiday outfits, and even Santa.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will also be returning this year. This is a nighttime display at Cinderella Castle set to all your favorite holiday songs.
You’ll also get to enjoy Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a stage show in front of Cinderella Castle starring Mickey Mouse and his friends. (And don’t forget about the NEW Frozen-themed Cinderella Castle show that’s coming to the party this year!)
Club Tinsel will also be returning this year –– this is a holiday-themed dance party where party guests can get their groove on with holiday friends.
Younger partygoers can enjoy the Disney Junior Jingle Jam, which features popular Disney Junior characters like Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and more.
There’s plenty to do for the whole family.
Eats
Okay, this is the part we get REALLY excited about. You’ll get FREE cookies and hot cocoa at select locations. Yep, we said it — FREE.
That’s not all, though — the party will also have EXCLUSIVE snacks and drinks available for purchase.
Rides
Of course, one of the BIG draws of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is that it’s a limited-capacity event, meaning that lines for rides are generally short. You’ll be able to enjoy the following rides during the party:
