If there’s one thing we really love, it’s a themed restaurant or bar…and Disney World is FULL of them!
From Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to the new Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios, there are lots of places to dine if you’re hoping to step into your favorite movie franchises, interact with your surroundings, or even travel back in time. And now, a NEW themed bar is opening in Disney World, and we’re taking you along with us to check it out!
In honor of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny being released in theaters, Disney World is getting some new experiences. One of those experiences is called Indiana Jones: Den of Destiny, and it opens today!
This pop-up bar is located in Hollywood Studios in the Echo Lake area, inside what was formerly the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost (located next door to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular). The building has been slightly rethemed to match the new offering,
There are little nods to the films around the building, including this poster for Iskenderun in the province of Hatay, which was a city featured in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
There’s also a poster for the fictional Pankot Province, which appeared in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Man, Indy really gets around the world, doesn’t he?!
According to the hours on the building, this spot will be open from 10AM-8PM daily. It’s a limited-time offering, but Disney World hasn’t announced a closing date. Let’s go inside and see what they’ve got!
When you walk inside, you’re immediately greeted by a variety of props from the film! We spotted costumes on display…
…including props from the Indiana Jones franchise. Each piece has a sign in front of it with details.
It’s like a small Indiana Jones-inspired museum in here! We spent a few minutes just walking around and checking everything out.
And of course, we can’t forget the iconic whip and hat combination — don’t forget to snap a photo here!
Speaking of photos, there’s a great photo op on the side wall in here too. It has the movie logo, some adventurous-looking props, and even the Dial of Destiny itself in the front.
Before you head back to the bar, you can also check out some merchandise on display. The items in the cases are the same souvenirs that you can buy at Keystone Clothiers on Hollywood Boulevard.
Finally, it’s time to check out the bar in the back! They have a couple of alcoholic drinks on the menu, as well as one non-alcoholic option.
We got The Adventuress Margarita, The Weathered Fedora, and the L’Atlantique Green Tea.
The Weathered Fedora is $14.50 and is inspired by the classic Indiana Jones hat. The spices inside are inspired by all the countries where the famous adventurer has traveled. It has Old Forester Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Sweet Vermouth, vanilla, ginger bitters, star anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Then there’s The Adventuress Margarita for $13.50. This one is inspired by Indy’s goddaughter, who’s a main character in the new film. It’s made with Corazon Blanco Tequila, passionfruit papaya green tea, cucumber, lime juice, and agave nectar.
And last but not least, we got the L’Atlantique Green Tea. It’s $6.25 and made with pomegranate green tea, blood orange, lemon juice, and agave nectar.
Once you order your drinks, you can enjoy them indoors or take them outside where some tables have been set up next to the building.
Disney hasn’t yet mentioned a closing date for this offering, but has noted that the Den of Destiny will be around for a limited time. We’ll keep you updated when we find out more. But for now, make sure to check it out if you’re stopping by Hollywood Studios!
