Take a full tour of the new Minion Café at Universal Studios Florida. The café is part of the new Minion Land, which has taken over part of Production Central.
The restaurant, which is part of the new Minion Land, features three themed dining rooms and outdoor patio seating.
Minion Café Exterior
Minion Café is located at the end of Illumination Avenue, across the street from New York’s Battery Park and nearby Transformers: The Ride 3-D.
The covered patio seating area is to the left of the main entrance.
To the right of the entrance doors is a photo op featuring an unfortunate Minion. It seems whoever was painting the exterior painted right over him. Guests can post with the paint roller.
Various tubes transport order tickets, dishes, and bananas outside and inside the restaurant.
Patio Seating
The patio is separated from the main entrance by a brick wall with a bench seat. You can access the patio next to the entrance, from the side path near Pop-a-Nana, or from a second set of doors inside the café.
It has metal tables and chairs in Minion yellow.
The tables have Minion placards with table numbers and a QR code for mobile order.
Just outside the patio is a seating area with round tables and umbrellas. This area is behind the Pop-a-Nana cart.
The Kitchen
In the Minion Café Kitchen, guests can see the Minions’ equipment and the gear they use to create the tasty creations on the menu. The above photo shows the view upon entering.
There is a static display featuring the Minions hard at work in the kitchen. Though it features a conveyor belt and vertical conveyor lift, it does not actually move.
This dining room has high top tables in yellow plus regular tables with blue chairs. Coca-Cola Freestyle machines are to the right.
The Minions are preparing food — some of which seems experimental.
Fake drinks resembling the PX-41 Punch are being served.
The apparatus is “operated” by Minions on a hampster wheel.
A Minion’s shoe is missing…
… but you won’t have to look far. Rest assured, none of the food is served shoe-style.
Bob’s friend Tim is taking a nap on a plate.
A wheel of boots is spilling some PX-41.
Some of the treats are flying through the dish transport.
There are some tables with booth seating on one side.
A small counter is available for guests who do not use mobile order.
One Minion appears to be taking inventory in the cooler.
Otto has decorated a photo of himself to advertise his Noodle Bowl.
There’s a neon banana sign.
The Minions have a particular style of interior design. Most of the appliances (and more) are banana yellow with giant googly eyes adhered.
A large “window” wall gives guests a view into the kitchen, where Minion-typical chaos is erupting.
The Breakroom
Guests can dine in the Minions’ hangout space. It includes “Office Safety Tips” as well as a vending machine full of unusual and mischievous items. This area is to the right of the kitchen.
In the Breakroom, most of the tables are yellow with red chairs. There are bench seats available as well.
A station for trays and drawers of silverware is themed to look like file cabinets. A water cooler is to the right, with lots of goldfish swimming inside. The Minion’s timeclock hangs on the wall and a bulletin board displays breakroom etiquette and other flyers.
Another station with garbage recepticles is also themed to file cabinets. Shelves over the counter display the Employee of the Month photo, office supplies, lab equipment, and more.
Bob, Phil, Tim, and Jerry have cabinet drawers here.
Stuart and Kevin’s drawers are on the other side.
Rules are posted on the walls, including warnings to wash dishes properly and advisories that “Kitchen sinks are NOT for bathing” and “NO horse play in the kitchen.”
The minions lockers are predictably filled with bananas and more.
A poster recommends 33 ways to take a Minion break, including sneak out, fall in love, get fired, and go on strike.
A (non-functional) vending machine provides everything a Minion needs for a day at work.
It contains a fart gun, many bananas, Gru’s jam, and more.
There are plenty of pet rocks.
One of the tables is a functioning foosball table.
The Dining Room
The dining room features colorful artwork created by the Minions. This room is to the left of the main Kitchen room.
A large mural of a Minion rocking out is on one wall.
Several posters are hanging with various rock ‘n’ roll imagery.
A broken guitar is framed with yellow “records” on the wall.
Some of the tubes are sucking up dirty dishes and bananas for transport to the kitchen.
Another wall features art of Bob and Tim.
The Minions have framed some painted rocks.
