Give Kids the World is loaning Trixie the Triceratops, the life-like dinosaur model they currently have in their Village to Universal Studios Florida. The sleepy dinosaur will be lounging near the Tribute Store in the park as part of the themed shop’s special display.

The Universal Creative team temporarily moved Trixie the Triceratops from its current home in the Give Kids the World Village to a new space in Universal Studios Florida. The dinosaur is modeled after the sick triceratops “Sarah” made famous in “Jurassic Park.”
Special care needed to be taken in order to move the dinosaur without damaging it. Boards were used as splints to help leverage the significant weight of the model and prevent injury to Universal’s Creative Team.
The dinosaur model was originally a gift from Universal to Give Kids the World, who are longtime partners. Here, the Universal Creative Team works on moving the dinosaur carefully to a large prepared platform.
Trixie the Triceratops was moved successfully for transfer. The dinosaur is a still model, and does not have any motorized parts or animatronics.
Here is Trixie in her new location at Universal Studios Florida. She is relaxing amongst foliage behind a short rope fence to keep guests from touching her.
Give Kids the World also made a statement about Trixie the Triceratops in their Instagram caption:
A friend of the Village is having an adventure this summer! Trixie the Triceratops, who can typically be found here at Give Kids the World taking a snooze beside the JJ Express railroad track, will be spending the next few months living the movie star life at Universal Orlando Resort. […]
Trixie, who was gifted to the Village by longtime partner Universal Orlando, was lovingly moved from her spot here at GKTW in March by the Universal Creative team. She’s been given the star spa treatment, and we’re excited to get to visit her just outside the Jurassic Park Tribute Store!
