As Memorial Day Weekend kicked off, the Live-Action Ariel found a new home at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I’ve heard and seen that the line to meet her has been extremely long, but it’s worth it. Finally, today is the day that we will meet her and experience the process of meeting this new character. I am so excited about this because I have spent the past few days watching videos of others meeting her, and I’ve just been in awe.

The meet and greet is located towards the back of Walt Disney Presents, where Sulley from Monsters Inc. was meeting for a while. On the My Disney Experience App, under the Characters tab, she is listed as Ariel (from the Live-Action story). She meets guests between 9 AM and 4:30 PM each day, and be sure to pack your patience due to the long line you might encounter.

I got in line at 12:47 PM, and I waited about 50 minutes. The meet and greet set was gorgeous and very well-themed. It’s also important to note that you will be meeting the land version of Ariel. I adored the area they created for her, including some of her gadgets, gizmos, and thingamabobs. She was very engaged in conversation, which I loved. I’ve met so many characters, but I’ve never met one that was so talkative and genuinely wanted to hear my responses.

I am still in awe of this experience. When I walked into the room, and she came toward me, the first thing I said was, “Wow, you are so beautiful.” Ariel proceeded to ask me where and how I found my crystals and how I take care of my collection. She then proceeded to show me all of her trinkets. This was truly an amazing meet and greet, and I hope it stays a while.
