For Pride Month, EPCOT is debuting a new mural in a new spot this year. Last year it was hidden behind the Imagination! Pavillion near the restrooms. It was so out of the way that getting a picture almost felt like a hassle. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, so visiting these murals is very important to me because it makes me feel represented and safe to be myself. It felt a little sad when the photo op was tucked away last year.
This year Disney stepped it up and put the new artwork at the entrance of the Connections Cafe & Eatery. This is a spot that can’t be missed and is near the entrance of EPCOT. Over the weekend, I saw so many people on Twitter and Instagram take pictures with the mural, and now it’s my turn.
New Pride Mural at EPCOT
I am in love with this mural, and I’ll be honest, I was emotional taking photos here. What I love is that they have a PhotoPass cast emmber standing there taking pictures of guests. I saw so many groups take pictures here, and they were all smiling ear to ear, filled with happiness. It was beautiful to see and very heartwarming.
Hollywood Studios Pride Photo Op
I haven’t visited all four parks yet. I did make a stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to find their Pride photo opportunity on June 1st, which is the same as last year and is located on Grand Avenue near Muppet Vision 3D at the entrance of Galaxy’s Edge.
My Goal is to visit the rest of the murals by the end of the week. I know the one in Magic Kingdom is on the purple wall in Tomorrowland, and Animal Kingdoms is near Pizzafarri and Tiffins. I’ll share those once I visit them later this week. What do you think about EPCOT’s new vibrant mural?
