Disney loves changing things up on us — and the latest updates have come to the Pixar Place Hotel!

This re-themed hotel overlooks Disney California Adventure Park and will be complete with artwork and styles from classic Pixar films and animation studios. While the transformation isn’t complete just yet, the lobby is open — and we’re bringing you with us to check it out!

In April 2022, Disney announced that Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland Resort would be undergoing a major transformation. Disneyland Resort guests can look forward to what will become Pixar Place Hotel soon! The hotel is being reimagined with a Pixar theme, and the hotel will “weave the artistry of Pixar into its comfortable, contemporary setting.”

While the hotel hasn’t fully been transformed quite yet, the lobby has officially opened and we decided to pop on over to check it out! Here’s another look at some of the exterior changes as you walk up to the entrance of the hotel. You can see some of the new paint designs that are carried through the renovation.

The check-in area has had a makeover, with sleek new desks, modern lighting, and warm wood paneling. You’ll find it over to your left when you enter the lobby.

We weren’t kidding when we said this was a pretty large area — which means there are plenty of spaces to explore! You’ll find lots of seating…

…like, LOTS of seating!

Remember those little Pixar touches we mentioned? This is what we mean! You’ll find Pixar characters and references even on the floor tiles.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Disney hotel without a gift shop, right? And this one is BIG, y’all. Lots of shopping lies in your future — you don’t even have to visit Disneyland to get your favorite souvenirs.

You’ll find tons of Pixar merchandise in here, along with other Disney items that just might tickle your fancy. Check out how big this place is in the video below!

In addition to merch, you’ll find drinks (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic), toiletries, snacks, pharmacy items, and more.

This area is still under construction, but there’s also a huge vending area complete with more drinks, snacks, and other items you might need during your stay.

The Pixar Place Hotel will also eventually be home to Great Maple, a “Southern California-based modern American eatery.” It will serve upscale dishes of fan-favorite comfort foods like fried chicken, burgers, and even salads. This restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will provide easy access for overnight guests, locals, and theme park visitors.
