Two menu items have been removed from the Energy Bytes food stand outside of TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom. The Beef and Broccoli Digital Dumplings and the Buffalo Chicken Digital Dumplings are no longer available.
Dumplings Removed from Energy Bytes Menu
We noticed an update to the menu at Energy Bytes in Tomorrowland; the two types of “Digital Dumplings” are no longer available for purchase.
Above is pictured the Energy Bytes stand. Part of the Peoplemover can be seen to the left in the background.
We stopped by this stand today to take a look at what’s changed.
The menu has been considerably shortened. Take a look at the image below for reference of what was previously offered here.
Above is an image of the former menu, which had the Beef and Broccoli Digital Dumplings with Broccoli Pesto, Crispy Garlic and Ginger-Soy Broth for $8.79, and the Buffalo Chicken Digital Dumplings with Celery, Dehydrated Blue Cheese, and Cayenne Pepper Broth for $8.49. These items have been removed from the menu as of this morning.
We liked several items offered at this stand, and did a full write up of all the options on the menu when they debuted. Take a look at our full food review here.
The new menu at Energy Bytes as of this morning is pictured above.
The Watermelon Refresher with Yuzu Citrus, Ginger, and Popping Candies is still available for $5.99. In addition, the Strawberry Ice0form, an Ice Cream Mochi with Caramelized Graham Cracker Crumbs, and Cheesecake Foam can be found for $5.29. Finally, the Chocolate Cake Doughnut Holes with Mocha Sauce can also still be purchased for $5.79.
TRON Lightcycle / Run
The new headline attraction nearby, TRON Lightcycle / Run, is the newest addition to Magic Kingdom. It’s a high-speed, thrilling roller coaster-type ride that took over seven years to build. The ride is seated in the back of the park, just behind the Tomorrowland Speedway and Space Mountain. It can be viewed on the park map within the My Disney Experience App available for mobile devices.
Guests will need a valid Park Pass as well as a park reservation for Magic Kingdom on the day they are hoping to ride this new coaster. Guests who have a park reservation at a different Walt Disney World park and have purchased the Park-Hopper upgrade for their ticket may still access the attraction through purchasing Individual Lightning Lane Access and “hopping” to Magic Kingdom after 2:00 p.m. They may also be able to join the 1:00 p.m. virtual queue after hopping if the queue is not full.
After securing park access, in order to jump on a Lightcycle and enter the Grid, guests will need to either sign up for the virtual queue or purchase Individual Lightning Lane access. There is no stand-by queue available at this time.
For additional details on how to use either the virtual queue or Lightning Lane, check out our TRON Lightcycle / Run guide here.
If you’re nervous about the experience or want more information, make sure to watch our review of the attraction in the video below.
