We’re halfway to the holidays, and Disney already has us looking forward to the 12 Days of Christmas.

Disney is announcing all sorts of holiday-related news now that we are officially halfway to the winter holiday season. Disney has released limited-time treats in the parks, announced returning holiday ride overlays, and teased even more news regarding the holiday parties that take place in the parks. In the meantime, we’re thinking about the new 12Ks of Christmas….
Disney just announced a few NEW runDisney races! Throughout this year’s holiday season, a virtual run series dubbed — you guessed it — the 12Ks of Christmas will be available for runDisney fans to participate in and receive some cool merchandise and medals.
Actually, now that we’re paying closer attention, we’re realizing that Disney said 12Ks of Christmas… as in… kilometers. ‘Cause it sounds like “12 days of Christmas,” get it? Ya, you get it. Well, that’s even more fun — for some of us.

This first-of-its-kind race series features three 4K running events (which is 12K total) as well as a virtual challenge — all hosted by fan-favorite Disney characters as the mascots.

While Disney says they aren’t quite ready to “unwrap all the event details,” they did confirm that registration will begin on July 25th, 2023.
