New Tokyo Disney Resort pressed coins are available as part of the nostalgic “Memory-Go-Round” merchandise line commemorating 40 years of the resort. One souvenir pressed coin is ¥100, or approximately $0.69.
Tokyo DisneySea
Aunt Peg’s Village Store, American Waterfront
This machine includes designs inspired by “Believe! Sea of Dreams” and LinaBell.
The “Memory-Go-Round” 40th anniversary design is the first that honors a past anniversary. This one is inspired by Tokyo Disney Resort’s 25th anniversary.
For the 25th, Mickey wore a silvery jacket and carried a giant key.
Mickey with the key is featured on the penny, below the “Memory-Go-Round” 40th anniversary logo.
Steamboat Mickey’s, American Waterfront
At Steamboat Mickey’s, the “Memory-Go-Round” 40th anniversary coin is inspired by the resort’s 30th anniversary.
This machine also has a June 2023 coin featuring Max and Goofy and another “Believe! Sea of Dreams” coin.
The 30th anniversary coin features Mickey in a top hat holding a balloon.
Mermaid Treasure, Mermaid Lagoon
Finally, Mermaid Lagoon has a coin for the resort’s 35th anniversary just five years ago.
The other two coins in this machine are for the 21st anniversary of the park, Tokyo DisneySea.
The 35th anniversary design features Mickey in a top hat and coat covered in a swirling design.
Tokyo DisneySea Station
There are medallion makers at each Monorail station of the Disney Resort Line.
In this machine is a coin featuring Mickey and Minnie on the Monorail. A general Tokyo Disney Resort 40th anniversary coin features Donald.
The “Memory-Go-Round” 40th anniversary coin features Mickey leaning on a sign of his name.
Resort Gateway Station
At the Resort Gateway Station is a machine with two more general 40th anniversary designs and one “Memory-Go-Round” design.
The general ones feature Mickey and Goofy.
The “Memory-Go-Round” design has an image of the Skyway, which was an opening day attraction at Tokyo Disneyland but closed in 1998. The other rocket vehicle pictured is from Star Jets, which closed in 2017.
Bon Voyage, Resort Gateway Station
At Bon Voyage, a machine has two designs.
There’s a new 40th anniversary “Dream-Go-Round” coin.
It features the 40th anniversary logo with a silhouette of Cinderella Castle.
Tokyo Disneyland Station
At the Tokyo Disneyland Station, another “Memory-Go-Round” coin features Mickey and Minnie.
The other general 40th anniversary coins feature Minnie and Daisy.
Mickey is pictured wearing a suit, while Minnie is wearing a classic polka-dot dress and bow, on the “Memory-Go-Round” coin.
Bayside Station
Finally, we found the last “Memory-Go-Round” at Bayside Station.
The machine here has another Monorail-inspired coin featuring Daisy and Donald, plus a 40th anniversary coin featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale.
The “Memory-Go-Round” matches the Mickey one earlier: Minnie is pictured with a sign of her name.
