One of our favorite parts about Main Street, U.S.A., is that it truly does have a Small Town, U.S.A., feel to it. After all, it WAS modeled after Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri.
With old-fashioned-looking shops and confectionery, a train station, and a hotdog and ice cream shop on the corners, it truly has that vintage American feel. There’s one time of year that Main Street, U.S.A., feels even more like it came straight from a scene in an old movie — the 4th of July!
The 4th of July holiday is quickly approaching, and Main Street, U.S.A., is officially donning its patriotic decor. Yep, when we visited the park this morning, it was like we walked into a small town’s Independence Day festival! We first noticed the decor on the Train Station as we were walking into the park for the day.
Then, once we were inside, we saw that City Hall was lookin’ just as patriotic!
Oh, and can we talk about how cute Casey’s Corner looks? Cue Jennifer Coolidge: “You look like the 4th of July. Makes me want a hot dog real bad!”
The Emporium also boasted some new decor!
