‘Rogers: The Musical’ Details
Below is an official description of this new musical experience:
Exploring universal themes of heroism, romance and self-discovery, “Rogers: The Musical” is an exhilarating and heartfelt experience for Super Hero fans, theater enthusiasts and families alike. Avengers aficionados will appreciate creative interpretations of iconic objects and moments from Steve’s journey, while theater fans will love the eclectic array of musical styles in the score and the show’s original choreography.
“Rogers: The Musical” at Disney California Adventure park is inspired by the fictional Broadway musical theater sequence featured in the first episode of the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.” This new musical project will come to life through the creativity of Disney Live Entertainment in partnership with book writer Hunter Bell, star and book writer of the Tony Award-nominated “[title of show],” and will feature five all-new songs with music by Grammy-winning composer Christopher Lennertz and lyrics by Jordan Peterson, Christopher Lennertz and Alex Karukas. Plus, fan-favorites songs “Save The City” from the Disney+ series “Hawkeye” (written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman), and “Star Spangled Man” from the film “Captain America: The First Avenger” (written by Alan Menken and David Zippel).
‘Rogers: The Musical’ Virtual Queue
“Rogers: The Musical” will be performed several times per day, Tuesday through Saturday, most weeks from June 30 through August 31, 2023. Guests can utilize the virtual queue system for the show via the Disneyland app. Joining the virtual queue is not required, but is highly recommended, similar to “World of Color – ONE,” also at Disney California Adventure.
Each day that the show is being performed, distribution for the complimentary virtual queue will start at 10:30 a.m. PT for the first two shows of the day, followed by 2 p.m. PT for the day’s remaining shows. Guests will not be able to choose their showtime, and will be called back to the Hyperion Theater when the physical queue is ready to open, approximately 30-45 minutes before the show.
How-to details on the virtual queue system are available at Disneyland.com. If the virtual queue reaches capacity, guests can check in at the Hyperion Theater before the show begins for walk-up viewing options.

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is in theaters today, June 30, 2023.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18. It opened in theaters on June 30.
The MPAA rates the movie PG-13. According to their classification, the rating is due to “sequences of violence and action, language and smoking.” While the rating itself doesn’t add much to what can be expected in the fifth and final film, it is an interesting reminder that the second film of the franchise, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” was a main catalyst (alongside “Gremlins”) that led the MPAA to create the PG-13 classification in the first place.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” takes place in 1969, amidst the space race. Indiana Jones will encounter his old enemy, the Nazis, again. The antagonist, Voller, is a villain inspired by Wernher von Braun — a real Nazi who became a NASA engineer.
“It’s full of adventure, full of laughs, full of real emotion. And it’s complex and it’s sneaky,” Ford said at the time. “The shooting of it was tough and long and arduous. But I’m very happy with the film that we have.”
It’s rumored that an Indiana Jones TV series could be in development for Disney+. It remains unclear if the storyline of this series would be a prequel to the films, set somewhere inside the franchise narrative, or following a totally new character rather than Henry Jones Jr. If this series is developed, it would not be the first TV show about Indiana Jones. In 1992-1993, “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” aired on ABC. Harrison Ford made a cameo appearance in one episode.
