The Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-Pendous! Closed for Refurbishment

The Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-Pendous! is currently closed for refurbishment, with no reopening date yet announced on Universal’s official site.

We spoke with a Team Member about the renovations, and they were unsure of the timeline for when this project will be completed. It could take up to six months, or even longer.

The amount of time the refurbishments take depend on what exactly Universal is doing to the space.

Last year we reported about cracks in the roof and how they were patched. If this is the only issue, it could be a quick fix; however, that’s not a guarantee. In August 2021, Caro-Seuss-el closed due to cracks and the entire building had to be redone, which took about nine months.

The Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-Pendous! menu is currently dark, with no items available to purchase at this location.

A Seuss Landing sign indicates that snacks can still be purchased at both Croissant Moon Bakery and at Starbucks. The sign itself is themed to the land and whimsical, with a bright blue lopsided border and red decorative dots.

Seuss Landing Repairs

Seuss Landing has been in need of repairs for some time now. Two winter holiday seasons ago, part of the land’s entrance arch collapsed, and needed to be removed. Even though this happened back in December of 2021, it still has not been repaired.

The Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-Pendous! is usually utilized during the winter holidays for a holiday tour and a special event Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast, so we assume they will want the location open in time for the holiday season. They may be beginning repairs now in hopes that everything will be fresh and ready for guest enjoyment by the time the busy holiday season arrives.

The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast was probably one of the most fun experiences we have ever had at Universal Orlando. Every interaction was unique and personal and there were a ton of characters available to meet and greet.
