Crews have been cleaning the exterior of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, an EPCOT area hotel, this week.
Yacht Club Cleaning
When we visited the resort, we noticed some walkways were blocked by cones and wet floor signs.
Poles connect the cones to make barriers.
Half of the walkway was still open for guests to enter the resort.
A crew member was in a tall cherry-picker vehicle, working on the roof.
More crew members were on the ground. They appeared to be pressure-washing the building.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The New England-inspired Yacht Club Resort opened in November 1990. It is one of the EPCOT area resorts, along with Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Guests can walk from these resorts directly to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT between the France and UK Pavilions.
As with many Walt Disney World resorts in recent years, Disney’s Yacht Club underwent a refurbishment in 2021 and 2022. The lobby was remodeled, though it retained its nautical theming. The exterior of the resort was repainted and refreshed. The bridges of the Stormalong Bay pool were refurbished while the pool remained open, and the resort’s iconic lighthouse was refurbished last summer.
During the holiday season, Disney’s Yacht Club is home to a model train and village, while the neighboring Disney’s Beach Club features a gingerbread carousel. The rest of Yacht Club is decorated with Christmas trees and other themed decorations.
Around Easter, elaborate egg displays pop up, including last year’s selection of Baby Yoda, Orange Bird, “Mulan,” and “Beauty and the Beast” artistic expressions, among others.
