There are SO many restaurants in Disney World, it can be overwhelming to know where to go and what to get from each one. Will you make a mistake and get a less-than-delicious snack? Is there something better there that you missed out on? The FOMO (fear of missing out) is REAL.
One popular location in Magic Kingdom to stop by (particularly in the morning) is Main Street Bakery — the home of Starbucks in this park. You may already have your Starbucks order picked out after your many coffee runs, and you’re probably familiar with the more standard snacks available here that you can find at a bunch of Starbucks locations around the country. But what other things should you consider buying if you stop here? THIS is the list you need.
Here are our picks for the 2 things you should eat at Main Street Bakery (aside from your regular Starbucks order and perhaps your favorite standard Starbucks snack)!
1 — Cinnamon Rolls
One of the staple items at the Main Street Bakery has typically been the GIANT Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll. These have come in a variety of designs over the years, with seasonal makeovers happening from time to time for things like Halloween and Valentine’s Day.
Do we still miss the old cinnamon rolls that used to be at the Main Street Bakery which were LOADED with delicious icing? Yes, yes we do. But the cinnamon rolls here can still sometimes be a worthy snack choice.
For example, the Valentine’s Day version of the cinnamon roll — the Minnie-Shaped Pink Cinnamon Roll — that we tried in 2023 was a total WIN. It was served warm, the cinnamon layers were soft and tasty, the dough was light, the icing was wonderful, and it wasn’t too sweet!
The Minnie-Shaped Cinnamon Roll remains on the menu as of the writing of this post, but it lacks the thicker, all-over icing from its Valentine’s Day version. The icing comes in stripes now, a bit more like what we’re used to regularly seeing here.
But, be cautious. We have had some versions of the cinnamon roll here that were…less than great. The Halloween version from 2021, for example, was a true disappointment — stale, thin, hard, and without any real taste of cinnamon. That could have simply been the result of a bad batch, but it is something to keep in mind. Not every cinnamon roll here might hit it out of the park. Try to stop by earlier in the morning when your odds are better of snagging a fresher cinnamon roll.
The other thing to note is that the cinnamon rolls here are VERY different than the ones you’ll find at Gaston’s Tavern. The ones at Gaston’s Tavern lean MUCH more heavily into the sweet side, are thick and fluffy, are gooey, and can be purchased with extra icing (which is a must!).
So just be aware of how different they are and opt for the one that best suits your taste buds! (We’d recommend the ones from Gaston’s over Main Street Bakery, but it all depends on what you like best!)

2 — Seasonal Cupcakes & Treats
One of the main things you won’t want to miss at the Main Street Bakery is whatever seasonal snack is available at the time of your visit! The seasonal snacks here can vary a lot.
We’ve seen a few different ones pop up here for things like Halloween…
…Christmas, special occasions (like the 50th Anniversary), and more.
Sometimes the flavors of these snacks have been REALLY great! And even where the flavors (or sometimes textures) haven’t really blown us away, the designs tend to be incredibly fun, making them totally Instagrammable and more unique than things you’ll find elsewhere.
These seasonal snacks pop in and out depending on the time of year, and can change from year to year, so they’re something you’ll want to keep a close eye out for! But if you do spot a seasonal snack here created by Disney that celebrates some kind of special occasion, consider giving it a try.
Honorable Mentions
We couldn’t make this post without mentioning the unique SAVORY snacks that sometimes pop up at the Main Street Bakery! If they were available on a more regular/predictable basis, they would easily make our top picks, but for now, we did want to mention them at least so you know to look out for them.
Unlike the seasonal snacks noted above, these are typically savory snacks and may not have anything to do with a particular holiday or celebration.
For example, in the past, we’ve had an absolutely DELICIOUS grilled cheese and tomato soup (we tried it back in 2022 and it was listed on a board in the restaurant in April 2023). The grilled cheese was warmed up enough for a solid cheese pull, and the tomato soup was well-balanced and not bland.
Also, back in 2021, we had a chicken strip club sandwich that featured tasty Disney chicken nuggets, delicious bread, and a lovely & crunchy pickle. The sandwich was filling, though plain and dry. Simplicity wasn’t necessarily a bad thing here, but we would recommend getting a sauce to use with this if it returns in the future.
Neither of these options is listed on the restaurant’s online menu right now (though we did see the grilled cheese on a board in the restaurant in April 2023), but these can pop up from time to time here so you’ll want to check the displays and menu boards often for the latest updates.
And there you have it — 2 things you might want to try from the Main Street Bakery. Which of these would you consider getting? Tell us in the comments!
