According to an annual report by Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), theme park attendance at North America’s most significant attractions rose 32% in 2022, with Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World topping the list. The report noted that Magic Kingdom had 17.13 million visitors in 2022 during the resort’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
As shown in the report below, Disneyland Park came in second, with Walt Disney World’s other three theme parks in 3rd, 4th, and 5th place, respectively. TEA says they kept the 2019 rankings in place on the 2022 report due to attendance trends being impacted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the report, Walt Disney World’s three other theme parks had growths of at least 25% each. Disney’s Hollywood Studios received 10.9 million guests (up 27%); EPCOT welcomed 10 million visitors (up 29%); and Animal Kingdom saw 9.03 million people (up 25%) in 2022.
According to the report, the top 20 amusement parks in the U.S. had 140.5 million visitors last year, an increase of 32%.
