In our many years spent at Disney World, we’ve probably checked out THOUSANDS of souvenirs.
Main Street Cinema
From Minnie ears to Spirit Jerseys to Starbucks tumblers, we’ve seen our fair share of new merchandise in the parks. And usually, when we spot a new item, we like to share it with our readers so you know what’ll be available for shopping on your next trip. But not today! Today, we’re sharing with you a really OLD item we found…one so old that it’ll be giving you some serious throwback memories!
We recently stopped by Main Street Cinema in Magic Kingdom to see if there was anything new on the shelves and we were pleasantly surprised by what we found! Over on the wall of pins, we spotted this — rather retro — design.
Look at that old pin!
Do you know how we can tell it’s old? It still shows the Sorcerer Mickey Hat as the icon for Hollywood Studios! That particular park icon was torn down in 2015, and since, the Tower of Terror has often been shown as the “weenie” for the park. (Don’t know what a “weenie” is? Click here to find out!)
It still has the sorcerer hat!
The pin is somewhat circular, with other icons like the Tree of Life, Cinderella Castle, and Spaceship Earth around the edges. The Mickey and Minnie in the middle spin around so you can view the different icons as you move them. According to the sign nearby, you can get this pin for $14.99! If you miss the Sorcerer Hat even just a little bit, this relic might make you feel better — MGM forever!
Do we need this? We think so.
